Daniel Amartey made his second appearance of the season for Leicester City as they lost 4-3 on penalties to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup
The Ghana star was played at right-back and saw full action at the King Power Stadium.
Jamie Vardy denied Manchester City a win in regulation time after scoring from the penalty spot late in the game to cancel Bernardo Silva’s goal for the League leaders.
Vardy made no mistake by converting from the spot in the 97th minute to force out a second leg tie at the Ittihad Stadium.
The England striker turned the villain for his side during the penalty shootouts when his missed his kick to see the Foxes bow out of the competition.
Amartey made use of the opportunity and perfectly at the right-back position in his bid to secure a regular spot in the team.
