The Chief of Mponuaman and Pankese, Nana Dr. Boakye Darkwa lll, who is a lecture at the University of Ghana and a Synthetic Organic Chemist, said he will do everything within his power to bring development to the people of Mponuaman.
During an interview with OBUOBA NEWS’ Kwasi Mintah, Nana Darkwa lll underscored the urgent need to create the awareness of the government to the poor development of Mponuaman which lies between Kwahu and Akyem Kotoku, Mponuaman which is headed by Pankese is lacking behind development which needs an immediate intervention of the government
According to Nana Darkwa lll, Mponuaman has since been left behind as far as development is concerned for the past nearly 30 years.
He added that since he resumed the stool the crippling developmental situation has worsen all in the name of the personal interest the Birim North D.C.E Hon Raymond Nana Damptey has in the chieftaincy issues of Pankese
The Chief noted that, as a true son of Pankese, he would certainly help turn things around by ensuring that, all the major stake holder which includes the Assemblyman, Unit Committee, D.C.E and others are on their fit to beef up developmental projects that they’ve been deprived of.
“The good toilet facility (KVIP), schools, clinics, and all the necessary social amenities one can talk of, I will make sure I’m done with all the needed developmental works” he stated.
He noted that projects are not going to be done by the traditional council but it is the work of the assembly whiles the chiefs will help the government out with their available resources.
He further stressed that, “there is an ongoing sand wining activities in Pankese for the past 30 years now the community has gain nothing from that activity, because when rain storm un-roof our school building the assembly can’t help us, when we want to build a public toilet facility the Birim North District cannot help us but they (Birim North Distrct) collect monies from the tipper trucks on each trip that they make” nana fumed.
Mponuaman which comprises of Pankese, Akuasi, Bramkurom, Nwiso, Noyem, Nyafoman, Oworomira, Kyenkyenku, Amoah, Amoana praso, Beposo, Afukruwa, Sakapia, Koretei, Odontuasi, Kadewaso, Asasifufruom, Tiewia, Gyadeso, Wiafikrom, Tenkyemso among others all lack behind development and is a worrying to Nana Darkwa.
